I am working toward a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. I am a member of the GroupLens research group. My main interest areas are the social web and data visualization. I am also studying Japanese, and plan to get a minor.
In 2005 I recieved a B.S. in Information Technology Management from the University of Minnesota, Crookston. I am currently involved in several projects in collaborations with Crookston, the Northwest Minnesota RSDP, and the International Water Institute at NDSU.
I currently live in an apartment near the Convention Center in downtown Minneapolis, in the Stevens-Square/Loring Heights neighborhood. I attend Bethlehem Baptist Church, also near downtown Minneapolis. My family lives in Elk River, Minnesota. My friend C.W. Weeks and I are going to change the world once we get around to it.
