I am working toward a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, as a member of the GroupLens research group. My main interest areas are online communities and data visualization. I am also learning Japanese, and hope to minor in Asian Languages and Literatures.
I received my B.S. from the Crookston campus of the U of M. I am still involved in a couple of projects in collaboration with UMC and the Northwest Minnesota RSDP.
I live near the Convention Center by downtown Minneapolis, in the Stevens-Square/Loring Heights neighborhood. I am a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, also near downtown Minneapolis. My friend C.W. Weeks and I are going to change the world once we get around to it.
